Lucille Marie Francoise Farwell

Mar 20, 2026

Lucille Marie Francoise Farwell left to join her parents and husband on March 12, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on March 29, 1937, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH, the daughter of Joseph and Aubeline (Durocher) Bilodeau.

She attended catholic schools for her earlier education and graduated from Nashua High School in 1956. After completing some college courses at Rivier College, she met the love of her life, Grover C Farwell, Jr., and married on August 1, 1959. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years, taking her children to dance classes, 4-H, Little League, and Boy Scouts. For some time, the whole family was active in the Brookline Grange. Once the kids were almost all out of school, she went to work at Thompsons Manufacturing in Milford and various administrative jobs after that. She took an early retirement to spend more time enjoying friends, traveling (she especially enjoyed traveling to England, France, and Ireland), and various organizations where they were active members. These organizations include the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 23 (where she was a member for over 50 years, and is a past District 2 Director, among other Department positions she held), the Milford Senior group, and the Milford AARP chapter. Once “Sonny” passed in 2010, she continued to be involved in different organizations, including the Golden Gals and a chapter of the Red Hats.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Grover C Farwell, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Linda Ackley and Diana Mahoney of Brookline, and her son Grover C. Farwell III of Brookline; three grandchildren, Jessica Mahoney of Brookline, Brian Mahoney and his wife Marybeth of Wilton and Grover C Farwell IV (GC) of Brookline; one great granddaughter, Katie Mahoney of Wilton; sister in law, Marcia Farwell of Brookline and The Villages, FL; several nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St. in Nashua. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 23rd at 10 AM at St. John Neumann Parish, 708 Milford Rd. (Rte. 101A), Merrimack. Burial is immediately following at Lakeside Cemetery, Mason Rd., Brookline. A reception will be held at 12 noon at The Gathering Grounds, 104 Rte. 13, Brookline, NH.

Those who wish to remember Lucille in a special way, may make gifts in her memory to the American Legion Auxiliary Children Wellbeing Foundation, 21 So. Fruit St, Ste 266, Concord, NH 03031 or The Animal Rescue League, 545 State Rte 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
