Richard Murray Slosberg

Mar 4, 2026

Richard Murray Slosberg passed away February 18, 2026 at Kendal at Hanover with his family in attendance. Richard was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on April 15,1938 to Leopold and Irene (Bander) Slosberg.

He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1960 and medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine in 1964. He trained in Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Bronx Municipal Hospital Center. He served as Captain in the U.S. Air Force, 1967-1969.

Richard arrived in Nashua, NH in 1971 to work with NH’s first HMO, Matthew Thornton Health Plan as their Pediatrician. He continued seeing patients there and in the Nashua Dept. of Health in the late 1990’s until his retirement in 2003.

Richard loved children and some would say he was one of them in spirit. He was a passionate sports spectator and a devoted Boston Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots fan. He was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed skiing, ice skating and ice hockey. He relished birdwatching and the places that his hobby took him all over the globe. He learned to play the alto saxophone at age fifty-five, an extension of his life-long enjoyment of jazz. At age eighty he became a licensed ham radio operator, K1EDP, a passion he continued up to his last year.

Richard is survived by his wife, Margaret Caudill-Slosberg and his children, Laura Meckel (Bret) and Paul Slosberg (Jena); sisters Mary Lee (Stuart) Alperin and Barbara Latt and four grandchildren Elena, Sabine, Marin and Declan. A celebration of life will be held at Kendal at Hanover, Hanover, NH in late Spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to:

Save the Children, Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock or
