Kenneth A. Jones

Kenneth A. Jones, 83, passed away peacefully at Bowman Place in Bedford, NH on February 25, 2026. He was a long-time resident of Hudson, NH.

Born in Hartford, CT in 1942, he was the son of the late Marjorie S. (Simons) and Richard S. Jones, both of Bedford, NH.

Ken attended grammar school in Bedford, NH and graduated from Manchester West High School in Manchester, NH in 1960 before going on to college at the University of NH, Durham.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Hatfield) Jones. He is survived by his two children, Scott Jones (Theresa) of St. Louis, MO and Daniel Jones (Jennifer) of Manchester, NH, from a previous marriage to Shirley Cartwright of Litchfield, NH. He was also stepfather to Carol’s four children: Charles Farrow (Kris) of Carlisle, MA, Chester Farrow (Lilan) of Tyngsboro, MA, Carla Farrow (Bob) of Groton, MA and Carin Denommee (Guy) of Tyngsboro, MA. Ken and Carol had nine grandchildren. Audrie Stefanini, Samantha Bueno, Amanda Marino, Tyler Denommee, Drew Denommee, Jordan Farrow, Davis Farrow, Audrey Rose Jones and Kaitlyn Schimp. Also 3 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way. Ken is also survived by his sister, Sandra Davison and brother-in-law Robert Davison that live in Sandown, NH.

He served with the US Army as a HAWK Missile Technician at the beginning of the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in El Paso, TX with the rank of Specialist 4 in 1965. After leaving the Army, he went to work for Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH as an electronics technician for 3 years. He started work for Frequency Sources, Inc in Chelmsford, MA in 1968 and continued with that company through many name changes and holding many different titles until retiring from his career in microwave electronics as a Program Manager with Lockheed Martin in 2005.

He was known to his friends and neighbors for his ability to diagnose and fix or repair problems with whatever material was handy. He considered himself a jack of all trades.

Prior to retiring, Ken’s hobbies consisted of hunting, camping, canoeing/kayaking, skiing, flying RC airplanes, and golf. Golf became his passion after retirement and he became an avid golfer, playing most of his rounds at Chelmsford CC and Green Meadow over his 30+ years of golfing.

It is Ken’s wish that in lieu of flowers donations be made your area Hospice Association. There will be no public wake or funeral. Ken shall be cremated and his ashes to be handled in the manner he described to his wife and children.
