Bryant Alden Taggart
Bryant Alden Taggart, age 90, of Parsonsfield Maine, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 in Wiscasset, ME. He was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on July 15, 1935, son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Bryant) Taggart.
Bryant spent his childhood in Nashua, NH and graduated from Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, VT in 1953. His formative years spent at Vermont Academy left him wonderful memories, lifelong friends and the story of building the school’s ski jump. He went on to study electrical engineering at Norwich University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before having to return to Nashua to manage the family business. Most of his working life was spent running Taggart Fuel and Ice Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed building computers, camping, curling, golfing and spending time at the cabin on Temple Mountain with his family. He retired to the quiet of Parsonsfield, Maine in 1999 where he built an impressive workshop and enjoyed woodturning pens and other woodworking projects. Much of his retirement years were also spent researching genealogy and designing a Taggart genealogy website.
Bryant is predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Paula Taggart. He is survived by his family, daughter Elaine (Taggart) Musich and her husband Jeffrey, son Edward Taggart and his wife Hope (Gallant), and son John Taggart and his wife Loren (Haver). He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Eben Musich, Seth Musich and his wife Megan (Ely), Andrew Taggart, Emily Taggart, Sarah Taggart, and Nathan Taggart, all of whom brought him immense joy.
He will be remembered for his fine craftsmanship, genealogical research and love of family.
