Mona P. (Hudon) Lapierre

Jan 30, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mona Lapierre, who departed this life on January 23, 2026. Mona was born in Nashua on May 12, 1947, to Phillippe and Leona Hudon, and she was the last living sibling of their six children.

Mona is survived by her husband of 48 years, Roland Lapierre; her son, Christopher Lampron, her daughter, Jill Lapierre and four grandchildren: Tyler Palmer, Elise Lapierre, Allyssa Lampron and Andre Simard Lapierre. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jennifer Palmer and her granddaughter, Ashley Palmer.

A lifelong resident of Nashua, Mona graduated from St. Louis de Gonzague in 1965. She worked for the City of Nashua School System and, later she and her husband Roland, opened and operated the Depot Deli Sub Shop in the 1990’s.

Always the perfect hostess, Mona brought warmth and joy to every gathering, whether it was a bustling Christmas celebration at her long-time family home, or a relaxing cookout at their seasonal campsite. Her culinary talents, radiant smile, and infectious laughter created lasting memories for family and friends alike. Mona’s lovely singing voice was a highlight at family Christmas parties, where she serenaded guests with Karen Carpenter’s holiday songs. At the campground, she delighted her friends with heartfelt karaoke performances, often singing her favorites by Patsy Cline.

Mona now has relief from her suffering, and her spirit will be reunited with loved ones she has missed for so long.

Mona lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity. Her meaningful impact on those around her will be deeply felt, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Mona.

There will be a celebration of Mona’s life on Saturday, February 7th at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley Street, Nashua from 12-2 pm.
