Never one to slow down, Gerard continued working well into his later years. He later worked with his son William at GotInk4U and with his son Charles at Davis and Towle Insurance, finally retiring at the age of 80.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Gerard played football and baseball in his younger years and later coached his sons in Babe Ruth Baseball. He was an avid fan of major league sports and rarely missed watching a game. He also enjoyed golf and tennis and was an enthusiastic card player, especially fond of cribbage games shared with his son Chuck and daughter-in-law Julie.

Gerard and Lucille loved to travel, and cherished time spent at their second home in Marco Island, Florida, where they made many lasting memories together. Gerard will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of family, dedication to his community, and his enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures.
