Pauline G. Long

Pauline G. Long, 90, died peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Langdon Place in Nashua. She was the beloved wife of the late Rino Long with whom she shared 47 years of marriage prior to his passing on February 1, 2008.

Pauline was born in East Angus Quebec, Canada on July 15, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Clarida (Cote) and Edouard Tardif. She received her education the Canadian School System.

For numerous years, she was employed in the food service department for the Nashua School System until her retirement.

Pauline was a remarkable woman whose passions enriched the lives of those around her. An avid reader, she found joy in the pages of countless books, which often inspired her beautifully crafted quilts; each one a treasured gift that brought warmth to family members over the years. She loved to indulge in shopping trips and never missed an opportunity to schedule a delightful lunch or dinner date, always accompanied by a good glass of wine. However, her most cherished moments were spent surrounded by family and friends, whose laughter and love filled her busy social calendar with happiness and unforgettable memories.

She is survived by her two children, Sandra Daigle and her husband Gary of Colorado Springs, CO and Jeffrey Long and his wife Danielle of Bedford; her three grandchildren, Joseph Daigle and his wife Stephanie, Samantha Daigle both of Colorado and Mikayla McPherson and her husband Garrett of Manchester; her two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Bennett Daigle. She is also survived by her two siblings, Jean Guy Tardif of Quebec and Monique Hines of Quebec; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Rino, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Sydney Long, her sister, Janine Bernard and her husband Ernest, four brothers, Gilles Tardif, Paul Tardif, Fernand Tardif and his wife Juliette, and Marcel Tardif and his wife Claudette; as well as her sister-in-law, Pauline Tardif, Brother-in-law Hector Hines, and his Daughters Sonia and Bridgette.

Relatives and friends are invited to Pauline’s graveside service on THURSDAY, January 29th at 11 AM in St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W Hollis Street, Nashua.
