Lucinda Anne Eastman

Jan 13, 2026

Lucinda Anne Eastman, 89, passed away peacefully at her home. She was the beloved widow of Robert D. Eastman, who predeceased her on January 31, 2010. They were married on September 14, 1957, and shared many loving years devoted to family and home.

Lucinda was born to the late Robert Likins and Elinor Berry Likins. She was also predeceased by her sister Sally Emery and brother-in-law, Donald Emery.

Lucinda was a graduate of Simmons College, where she completed the Retail Program. Following her education, she devoted herself to her family as a stay-at-home mother, a role she cherished deeply.

In her free time, Lucinda enjoyed reading, bird watching, appreciating nature, and watching movies. She often talked about all of her adventures in trying new endeavors with her best friend Ellie Berry.

Her daughters, Beth and Alison, sparked an interest in horseback riding in the mid-70’s where they received their first pony, Gingersnap, for Christmas. This became an all family hobby, where Lucinda adored watching her girls ride. This eventually led to the creation of Apple Tree Farm with Alison. For years, she helped run Apple Tree Farm shows and volunteered at many USEA events. She was well known and loved in the horsing community.

She especially treasured her early time spent at Drakes Island, Maine, where she found peace and happiness. The family spent many wonderful years enjoying their time on the beach with her good friends, Ellie and Al Berry. It was not uncommon to catch the adults out on the waves with their styrofoam surf boards.

She is survived by her three children Elizabeth Zingales and her husband Todd, Alison Eastman Lawler and her husband Shawn, and Erica Eastman. She also leaves behind her six grandchildren Ryan Zingales and his wife Erin, Connor Zingales and his wife Kaitlin, Adam Zingales and his fiance Libbie Manning, Miriam Eastman, Emily Eastman, and Aidan Eastman,

and her two great-grandchildren Cailin and Benton Zingales. Lucinda is also survived by her brother John Likins and his wife Edie Keller Likins, as well as her close nephew Doug Emery and his sister Linda and her husband Richard, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
