Lynda Jean Stewart
Lynda Jean Stewart, of Nashua, NH, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Bedford, NH.
She was born in Long Island, NY, on March 19, 1953, daughter of the late Harold J. Stewart and Jeanette (Michaels) Stewart. Lynda was a graduate of Farmingdale High School in New York and went on to attend Rivier College in Nashua, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She later received her master’s degree from New England College in Henniker.
Lynda dedicated much of her professional life to social work, serving as a case manager and advocating for those in need. Most recently, she was employed by Riverbend Community Mental Health, where her compassion and commitment made a lasting impact.
Lynda had a great love for cats and was deeply interested in politics. She was an active member of the New Hampshire Democratic National Committee and served her community as a member of the Litchfield School Board.
Aside from her parents, Lynda was predeceased by her son Russell Tenney.
She is survived by her children Ryan Tenney and his wife Tiffany, and Lisa Brisson and her husband Paul. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Sarah, Olivia, Emma, Arianna, and Cameron. Lynda is also survived by her sister Debbie Ricottone and her husband Paul, along with extended family and friends.
SERVICES: A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street, Nashua, NH 03064, with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Amherst Street, Nashua, NH.
