Sandra Nina Stone

Sandra Nina Stone, age 92, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire. She was born on December 20, 1933, in Buffalo, New York, to the late William and Kathryn (Denny) Reid.

Sandy married the love of her life, Roger Stone, on November 9, 1952. Together they shared more than 60 years of marriage until Roger’s passing in 2013. Their life together was marked by devotion and hard work.

Sandra was a longtime member of First Church in Nashua, New Hampshire, where her faith and sense of community were important parts of her life. She proudly worked for many years at Bob’s Stores and Montgomery Ward, remaining loyal to both until their closures.

She was a talented and passionate gardener and a prolific crocheter, earning numerous ribbons for her work at the Deerfield Fair. Sandy was a runner and for many years ran the Santa Fund 5k Road Race, continuing to run into her late 70’s. She was an avid puzzler, enjoying word puzzles of all sorts, and especially jigsaw puzzles, which remained a favorite activity for the rest of her life. Sandy also loved spending time in the kitchen, where she found great joy in cooking and baking for family and friends.

Besides her loving husband Roger, Sandra is predeceased by her sister-in-law Joyce, and brother-in-law Dwight. She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Linda and Eric Anderson, Bob and Alice Stone, Dave and Diane Stone, Jim and Maribeth Stone, and Bill and Amanda Stone. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held from 11 am-1 pm on Friday, January 2, 2025, at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua, NH. A service will immediately follow the visiting hours at 1 pm. A procession will lead to Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH, for the internment. Friends and family are invited to attend.
