Marie F. Presho

Marie F. Presho, 101, of Nashua, NH, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at The Hunt Community in Nashua.

She was born in Somerville, MA, on June 28, 1924, daughter of the late Florence E. Barentine. Marie was the loving wife of the late Donald Presho, who predeceased her in 1997. They were married on June 15, 1968, at Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, MA.

Marie was a longtime and devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, MA, where she was active for over 70 years. She was a member of the church choir and flower committee and also served as secretary of the Business and Professional Women’s Group through the church.

Marie was a Certified Professional Secretary and had worked over 40 years with The John Handcock Co. She was active in the professional association throughout her career. She was also a member of the Lexington Senior Center, where she volunteered regularly. Her spirit of service continued through her volunteer work at the information desks at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Symmes Hospital in Arlington, MA, and The Hunt Community, where she also served on various committees.

In her free time, Marie enjoyed needlework, knitting, crocheting, counted cross-stitch, and sewing. She loved reading and had a deep appreciation for music.

Marie is survived by her nephew James Barentine; her grandchildren Brad Davis, Robert Davis, Lauren (Davis) Hidden, James Warner, Donald Warner, and Valerie (Warner) Nettles; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.
