Lorraine C. Freeman
Lorraine C. Freeman, 87, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Freeman for 62 years until his passing in May of 2025.
Born on August 3, 1938, in Augusta, Maine, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Oneill Douin and Lucienne (Royer) Douin. She began her career working for a local shoe shop in Augusta, where she made lasting connections in the community. However, Lorraine’s greatest joy came later in life, when she dedicated herself to her family as a homemaker.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Susan Freeman (Malboeuf) of Nashua, Louise Lemieux of Nashua, Phillip Freeman of Atlanta, GA, Scott Freeman and his wife Wendy (Grimolizzi) Freeman of Allenstown, and Jeffrey Freeman and Sally Leclerc of Nashua. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Erik and his wife Alexis Tucker-Freeman, Jacquelynn Malboeuf, Rebecca Malboeuf, Holly Freeman, and Colby Freeman; and her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Stauble, Kaiden Malboeuf, and Jeremy Daniel Tucker-Freeman. Lorraine will also be remembered by her brother, Paul Douin and his wife Betty of Augusta, Maine, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Clemente Douin and Leo Douin, and her sister, Rita Godbout.
Relatives and friends are invited to Lorraine’s Funeral Mass on FRIDAY, January 2nd at 10 a.m. at PARISH OF THE RESURRECTION, 449 Broad St., Nashua. Her interment will follow at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen.
