Bud Tipping

Bud Tipping, 84, a Nashua Native passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025.

He was born on January 15, 1941, the son of the late Hobart Tipping, Jr. and Ethel (Freeman) Tipping.

Bud was the loving husband of Patricia (Robbins) married on October 21, 1977, for 48 years.

He graduated from Nashua High School, Class of 1957. Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served from

1963 to 1966.

Bud enjoyed a long and successful career in the laundry business. He owned and operated Tipping Linen Service, New Method Laundry and Crescent Custom Laundry. He also worked for Bird Bath Laundry and Sterling Linen Service in Manchester, NH until his retirement in 2020, at the age of 79.

Day after day, he showed up with reliability and care, forming close friendships with many of his customers, who came to know him through familiar conversations and decades of dependable service.

In his retirement years, Bud enjoyed following all New England sports teams. He loved being surrounded by his six grandchildren.

Bud will be forever loved and remembered by his three children, Ellen (David) Winkler, Marla Tipping, Alex Simon and John (Cindy) Tipping; six grandchildren, Sydney and David Jr. Winkler, Peyton and Avery Tipping, Bennett and Margo Simon; his sisters, Mary Ann O’Neil, Paula Smith, and Nanci (Brian) Thompson; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Robbins; brothers-in-law, Robert Robbins Jr. and Carl (Christine) Robbins; several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Bud was predeceased by brothers-in-law, James O’Neil, David Smith and a sister-in-law, Susan Robbins.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the following heath care providers for their kindness and compassionate care of Bud. Dr. Kalpesh Patel, Dr. Matthew Curley, the staff at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic, Dr. Philip V. Savia, the staff at St. Joseph Hospital and the Nashua Fire Rescue.
