John Joseph Toth

Dec 11, 2025

John Joseph Toth of Hudson, NH passed away peacefully at his home on December 7, 2025, at the age of 90. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Paquin) Toth, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.

Born on April 21, 1935, in Everett, Massachusetts, John was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Kontz) Toth. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, an experience that shaped his lifelong dedication to service and integrity.

Following his military service, John embarked on a 38-year career with the Federal Aviation Administration, working as a radar technician. His skill, calm presence, and commitment to safety earned him the respect of colleagues throughout his long tenure. While working he also completed his Associates degree at Hesser College.

In retirement, John embraced a life filled with simple joys, warm weather, and new adventures. He and his wife spent 30 wonderful years as snowbirds in Florida, where they built lasting friendships playing cards, performing in variety shows, and attending sponsored trips. John never missed an opportunity to call weekly Bingo; he also looked forward to family trips to Foxwoods, where he relished the time spent with family and friends.

A passionate sports fan, John rarely missed a game featuring his beloved New England teams. He enjoyed reading, working on jigsaw puzzles and Sudoku. He also had a deep love for dancing, especially square and ballroom dancing. It was on the dance floor where he met the love of his life, beginning a partnership filled with laughter, rhythm, and joy.

Faith was a fundamental part of John’s life. He served as a greeter and eucharistic minister at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Nashua and at Holy Cross Parish in Palmetto, Florida, offering kindness, humility, and quiet devotion to his parish communities.

John is survived by his wife, Jeanne, and his children, Linda Smith and her husband Robert of Nashua, Cynthia Bromley and her husband Eric of New Ipswich, Theresa Root and her husband Michael of Nashua, Sandra Skinner and her husband John of Mansfield, MA, and Robert “Bob” Toth of Wilton. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Kerrie Caron and her husband Nicholas, Kelly Gilpatrick and her husband Michael, Elizabeth Dellogono, Katherine Bromley, Connor Root and his wife Taylor, Michael Root and his wife Madeline, Jennifer Campbell and her husband Cameron, Alison Skinner and her wife Marisa, Danielle Skinner, and Emily Trimble and her husband Locke. John will also be remembered by his 13 great-grandchildren, his sister, Leona McDonald of Everett, MA, and his brother-in-law Roger Lacoste of Hopewell Jct., NY, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his grandchild, Taylor Root, and his siblings, Mary, George, Margaret, and Helen.
