Germaine L. McNamara
Beloved mother, sister, and aunt;
Germaine L. (Bergeron) McNamara, 92, of Hudson, New Hampshire, formerly of Balcom Road in Pelham, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.
She was the loving wife for over 44 years of Daniel J. McNamara, who predeceased her in 2002.
Born in Pelham, NH, July 25, 1933, the daughter of the late Wilfred and the late Marie (Patenaude) Bergeron, she attended Pelham schools and graduated as a top student.
After high school, she was employed at Bell Telephone in Lowell, MA, where she met her future husband Daniel. They were married at St. Patrick’s Church in 1958 by Pastor Father Kilcoyne. Father Kilcoyne later offered her a position on the faculty of St. Patrick School where she taught grades 5,6,7 and 8 in both English and French. She eventually went back to school to update her teaching certificate at Rivier College in Nashua, NH, and taught business classes for several years at Milford High School.
Germaine had several hobbies including the knitting of elaborate sweaters that she gifted to family. She liked to travel and spend time with family, including her best friend and niece, Sheila Lisavich of Salem, NH. She became an expert Black Jack player and enjoyed playing at local casinos with family. She was an avid sports fan and found a way to participate in her children’s school sporting events, including the filming of most of the Pelham Razor Back Pop Warner Football games when the team was first founded in 1972.
Germaine is survived by two sons, Michael D. McNamara, DO, FACN, of Bedford, NH, and Alan D. McNamara; a sister, Florence Bergeron of Bradford, MA; three brothers, Gerard Bergeron of Hudson, NH, Raymond Bergeron and his wife Pearl of Pelham, NH, and Wilfred Bergeron, Jr., and his wife Janet of Pepperell, MA; her niece and best friend, Sheila Lisavich of Salem, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Bergeron and his wife Marion, and her sister Marie (Bergeron) Caputi.
Friends may call on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD in PELHAM from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be held on Saturday, December 6, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church in Pelham followed by her Committal Service at Gibson Cemetery.
