Dominic S. D’Antoni
Dominic S. D’Antoni, 92, passed away on November 18, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Born in Beverly, Massachusetts on July 6, 1933, Dominic grew up with a strong sense of curiosity, discipline, and service. He was raised by his parents Stephen and Mary. He spent part of his life in the foster care system, where he was fortunate to be cared for by a kind and compassionate foster family. Dominic graduated from Somerville High School in 1952 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long and dedicated career in public service.
Dominic worked as a tax appraiser for the Town of Merrimack, New Hampshire, a position he held for 30 years until retiring in 2000. His commitment to his community extended well beyond his professional work; he also served for 22 years on the Board of Assessors for the City of Nashua, where his knowledge, integrity, and fairness earned him deep respect from colleagues and residents alike. He was also a dedicated member of St. Christopher’s Church in Nashua, where he served as an usher and offertory collector for more than 40 years.
In July of 1974, Dominic married the love of his life, Patricia (Cote) D’Antoni. They shared nearly four decades of marriage before her passing in 2013. Together they enjoyed a life rich with laughter, companionship, and adventure.
An avid golfer, Dominic especially cherished the rounds he played with Patricia. Athletic throughout his life, he enjoyed running, bowling, and staying active. He followed local and town politics closely and took pleasure in being involved wherever he could make a difference. Generous by nature, he supported many charitable organizations over the years.
Dominic was also a lifelong learner who loved reading and exploring new ideas. He and Patricia traveled extensively throughout South America, Europe, and across the United States, creating memories that remained among his most treasured experiences.
Dominic is survived by his brother Anthony D’Antoni and his wife Dorothy of Laurel, MD; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; as well as his sister in laws Jeanne Bourbeau of Nashua and Barbara Cote of Nashua.
In addition to his wife Patrcia, and his parents, Dominic was predeceased by his sister Frances LeBel, as well as his foster parents.
