Paula E. (Scharch)Taggart

Paula E. (Scharch)Taggart, age 86, of Parsonsfield Maine, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. She was born in Groton, Massachusetts, on February 28, 1939, the daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy (Martin) Scharch.

Paula spent her childhood in Pepperell, MA, and later graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. She spent much of her life raising her children and teaching Home Economics (30 years) in Nashua, New Hampshire, before retiring to the quiet of Parsonsfield, Maine. She was active in the Church of the Good Shepherd in Nashua, NH as well as Episcopal parishes near Parsonsfield. Paula had a life filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family. She was an avid weaver, spinner, and knitter, enjoyed golf, curling, and skiing, and cherished time spent with her loved ones.

Paula is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bryant Taggart and her loving family; Daughter Elaine (Taggart) Musich and her husband Jeffrey, son Edward Taggart and his wife Hope (Gallant), and son John Taggart and his wife Loren (Haver). She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Eben Musich, Seth Musich and wife Megan (Ely), Andrew Taggart, Emily Taggart, Sarah Taggart, and Nathan Taggart, all of whom brought her immense joy.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her artistry, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua, NH, 03064, on Wednesday, November 26, from 11 am to 1 pm. A service will immediately follow the visitation at 1 pm, also at the Davis Funeral Home. A procession will lead to Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH, for her Committal at 2 pm. Friends and family are invited to attend.
