Thomas Arthur Rodier
Thomas Arthur Rodier, 90, of Nashua, NH, died peacefully on November 17, 2025 at the Community Hospice house.
Tom was born in Nashua, NH, the son of the late Arthur J. and Ann (Ouellette) Rodier. After spending his early years in Pepperell, MA, he moved to Nashua in 1943.
Tom graduated from Sacred Heart School (Saint Patrick Parish) in 1951 and from Nashua High School in 1954.
Tom was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Nashua from 1960 to 1998. He had the distinction of being one of the few carriers to work at all three Nashua Post Office facilities: Court Street, Spring Street, and North Southwood Drive. Tom also was a member of Branch 230 of the National Association of Letter Carriers. During his 38-year career, Tom developed valued relationships with the families along his routes.
After retiring, Tom returned to work part-time from 2000 to 2009 as an attendant at the former Exit 6 NH Welcome Center, where he enjoyed greeting visitors and sharing his extensive local knowledge with them.
Tom’s personal interests reflected his curiosity and connection to the wider world. He enjoyed reading, watching documentaries, and classic movies. He was also a short-wave and amateur radio enthusiast and a former member of the American Radio Relay League.
In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey M. Rodier; his sisters, Jeanne M. Holzmann and Laurine M. Heath; and his infant brother, Urban A. Rodier.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Wittmer Rodier, and his children: Dennis P. Rodier (Eileen) of Francestown, NH; Sarah R. Wilkinson (Chris) of Richmond, VA; and Timothy E. Rodier of Nashua, NH.
He also leaves behind his sister, Nancie A. Caron of Hudson, NH; his sister-in-law, Lois W. (Neal) Scogin of College Station, TX; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and extended family throughout the United States.
A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua, NH. The visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M., followed by the service at 12:30 P.M. Interment will immediately follow the service at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua.
