Bertha L. (Belanger) Eaves

Bertha L. (Belanger) Eaves, 95, of Holmen, WI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 5, 2025. Born in Nashua, NH, Bertha was the fourth of seven children of Wilfred and Eva (Manseau) Belanger. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1948. She spent many years on Long Island at Lake Winnipesaukee where she lived in a lakeside home which she helped build with her now deceased former husband, Hollis Eaves. Bertha returned to Nashua until her move to Holmen, WI in 2023 to be with her daughter. She was employed at Teledyne in Hudson for many years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague church while living in Nashua. She was the mother of one daughter, Denice Knutson of Holmen, WI, grandmother to seven grandchildren, Jesse Knutson, Joshua Knutson, Christian Knutson, Isaac Knutson, Chayille Bunworth, Alethia Knutson, Victoria Knutson, and six great grandchildren. Bertha was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Eva Belanger, and siblings Wilfred “Fritz” Belanger, Constance Bowen, and Albert “Pappy” Belanger. She is survived by Pauline Wilcox of Norwell, MA; O. Frank Belanger of West Palm Beach, FL; and Estelle “Stella” Landry of Mullica Hill, NJ. Bertha leaves many nieces and nephews who adored her. She was especially close to her nephew Tim Bowen, his wife Debbie, and their family of Londonderry, NH, with whom she spent time enjoying many family gatherings as well as their poolside outings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Aloysius of Gonzaga (St. Louis de Gonzague) Parish, 48 West Hollis St. in Nashua. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
