Lauri Rubner
Lauri Rubner, 67, of Merrimack, N.H., passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, following a brave and dignified battle with ALS.
Born in Keene, N.H., on June 28, 1958, to the late Carson Sr. and Beverly (Thayer) Graves, Lauri grew up in a loving home and excelled as an athlete. She graduated from Keene High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a minor in English, from the University of New Hampshire.
Lauri built a long and successful career in sales, specializing in computer-aided design, videoconferencing, and streaming technologies. She held several roles she took great pride in, including as an Account Executive with Dell Technologies. In recent years, she worked at Home Depot, where she formed many friendships.
Lauri was a proud and devoted mother and adored all her pets, especially her dogs. She loved being outdoors–gardening, skiing, hiking, and spending time by the lake. She also had a lifelong passion for fast cars and motorcycles and was an enthusiastic supporter of New England sports teams. Above all, Lauri was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved most, laughing with friends and family.
She is survived by her son, Patrick O’Brien, and his husband Kurt Eddy; her loving partner of 15 years, Gregory Doppstadt; her brothers, Gary Graves, Carson Graves Jr. and his partner Raylene, Doug Graves and his wife Mary, and John Graves and his wife Lorrie; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family. For more information, please contact Patrick at loveyoulauri@gmail.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lauri’s memory may be made to Compassionate Care ALS (ccals.org) or a charity of one’s choice.
