Douglas Dean Tilton

Douglas Dean Tilton, 61, of Nashua, NH, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025.

He was born in Waterville, Maine, on October 4th, 1964, son of Colette N. (Douglas) and Donald D. Tilton. Douglas was the loving husband and partner of Hilda Njoroge Tilton for 36 years. They were married in Nashua in 1996.

Doug attended Central Connecticut State University, where he received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance and Business Management. Most recently, he was employed at Southern New Hampshire University as a Data Analyst.

An avid outdoorsman, Doug loved spending time in nature. He enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and boating, as well as tending to his garden. He was also an enjoyer of music, in particular, reggae.

He was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Njoroge Tilton; and their sons, David Tilton and Nicholas Tilton. He also leaves behind his mother, Colette Douglas Tilton, and father, Donald Tilton; his aunt, Suzette Douglas; and his cousin Kristi Bradley and her children, Alex and Julia all of whom he was close with. Additionally, he is survived by his uncle and aunt, Robert and Donna Tilton and several cousins.

SERVICES: A Celebration of Life for Douglas Tilton will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at the home of family friends, Fred and Rose Abrogast, at 15 Milk Street, Nashua, NH, 03064 (street parking available). The gathering will begin at 12:30 PM with a buffet lunch, followed by a time of family remembrances, and guest stories honoring Doug. Family friend Rev.
