Peter Richard Klamka
In Loving Memory of Pete Klamka
Peter Richard Klamka, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, formerly of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at his home on August 20, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born in Westchester County, New York, he was the son of Helen and John Klamka, who came to America after surviving imprisonment as prisoners of war during the occupation of Poland in World War II. Their resilience and sacrifice instilled in him a tireless work ethic and a lifelong appreciation for perseverance and strength of spirit.
After his early years in New York, Pete and his wife, Betty, moved to Nashua with their three children. There, they welcomed their fourth, raised their family, and lived there for nearly four decades, surrounded by friendships and community. Married for 57 years, Pete and Betty’s family grew to include four children–Peter, Julie (Leigh) Jenks, Richard (Marcy), and Joseph. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Andrew (Amber) Jenks, Carson, Bodie, and Peter, and his great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Juliana, and Adeline.
He graduated from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Guided by both his education and his faith, Pete built a life defined by devotion to his vows, his family, and his beliefs.
An avid golfer, Pete was especially proud of the day he and his lifelong best friend and business partner, Tom Makowski, teamed up to win their flight in the Member/Member tournament at Nashua Country Club. He also cherished time on the water, spending memorable years with family and friends on his boat at Lake Winnisquam and Lake Winnipesaukee. Reflecting his youthful spirit, Pete loved visiting Disney World and found joy relaxing along the beaches of Sarasota, Florida. He was passionate about his New England Patriots and was a devoted University of Michigan football fan.
Pete will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and gift for bringing people together. His legacy lives on in his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know him.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Nashua, New Hampshire, on Saturday, November 8, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
