George Leslie Snaith

George Leslie Snaith, born in 1940 in Hexham, England, to George and Ellen Snaith, passed away peacefully in Laconia, New Hampshire on Oct 19, 2025.

George was a graduate of the University of Birmingham, where he earned a degree in Metallurgy in 1962. After marrying Mary Pirie in 1966, George and Mary emigrated to the United States later that same year.

George built a career in various roles across the precision casting field, working in England, California, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. His expertise and dedication were integral to the industry, culminating in his retirement from Hitchiner Manufacturing in 2003, after a long and successful career.

George and Mary made their homes in various places throughout their lives, including Oakland, California; Mont Vernon, New Hampshire; Madison, Connecticut; and for many years in Amherst, New Hampshire. In 2020, they moved to Laconia, New Hampshire, where George spent the remainder of his years.

He is survived by his two daughters, and granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, George requested donations be made to Planned Parenthood in his memory.
