Fought the good fight of faith

Francis J. Zabierek, a.k.a. Frank, 68, of Nashua NH, gave up the ghost and proceeded to finally meet his risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He was the son of the late Thaddeus A. Zabierek and Mary L. (Molda) Zabierek. Frank was born in Lowell MA and raised in nearby Dracut. Soon after graduating from the Dracut public school system, Zabierek enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged after his four-year term.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Frank was employed with a number of government agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Army Reserve, and then, the U.S. Postal Service, which he retired in 2019 after 37 years with that organization.

He also helped promote his Christian faith to the local community thru conversations, Internet postings, and a Nashua local access TV show called, ‘Frankly Speaking’. ‘Fighting the Good Fight of Faith… ‘, as stated in, 2 Timothy 4:7 was, in Frank’s view, one of the greatest epitaphs ever written, not to mention one of his favorite Bible verses and something that he truly embraced.

Frank was awarded the ’17 Gallon pin’ in 2023 for making 136 lifetime “pint” blood donations to the American Red Cross. Socially speaking, Frank was an active lifetime member of the Dom Polski club, as well as the Polish-American Veterans – both of Lowell. Frank often joked and boasted about himself being a, ‘connoisseur of fine cuisine’ – but not so much with the cooking, as with the eating.

In addition, Frank was a big fan of Boston’s four major sports teams, professional wrestling, karaoke singing, ‘The Three Stooges’, political debates, and anything pertaining to Forensic science. Besides that, he enjoyed Internet blogging on Christianity, sports, politics and current events, and was the moderator of his own long time Internet forum, “One Bad Decision Away from Homelessness”, which he named after just how fragile and unpredictable life really is.

Frank leaves behind two fantastic sons whom he greatly loved very much – Jonathan J. Zabierek, along with his wife Elyse, and Benjamin R. Zabierek, all of Worcester Mass; and a sister, Mary L. Zabierek of Dracut.

Family and friends are invited to Francis’ visitation on MONDAY, October 27th from 3 until 5:30 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. A service will follow in the funeral home at 5:30 PM. Interment will take place privately at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers,
