Arthur W. Gamache

Arthur W. Gamache, 92, of Nashua passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nashua on August 5, 1933, to Wilfred and Alice (Turgeon) Gamache.

In his early years, Arthur worked at Gregg & Son until he was called to serve his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War. He volunteered as an ammunition specialist, U.S. Army Orindance Corps veteran for the 5th Army. After his military service, he met the love of his life, Patricia (Haggerty), they were married on February 15th, 1958. Together, they shared 67 memorable and happy years of marriage.

Arthur worked for nearly four decades as a manager at Nashua Wallpaper, working his way up to manager in a very short time. He was well known for his exceptional customer service. He was a member of the Home Builders Association serving on its board of directors. He represented Nashua Wallpaper at various home shows in Nashua, Manchester, and Boston, where he was always eager to connect with others and share his knowledge.

Over the years, Arthur did whatever he had to for the benefit of his family. He managed Pizza by Charles from 1967-1968. He also owned and family operated K&A Pizza on Main St. from 1983-1987.

Arthur was always active in some capacity of sports, he excelled in many, that being baseball, slow and fast pitch softball. He was also a great bowler; he bowled in the Industrial League for many years. He also gave back to the Youth of Nashua. He coached “The Steers” little league for a few years in the early 1970s and won a city championship with his team. He also coached Babe Ruth baseball. As an avid sports fan, he rarely missed a Red Sox or Patriots game on TV.

When Arthur retired at 73 years of age, he and his wife took a three-week tour of Europe. On his return, He began volunteering at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s coffee shop for a period of seven years.

Arthur was a fan of Neil Diamond, he loved his music and went to many concerts.

Arthur was happiest when his family got together, he had a wonderful sense of humor and was able to bring laughter to all. His wife was his biggest audience. His humor and love for his family and friends will never be forgotten, and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife Patricia, Arthur is survived by his loving children Deborah Martin and her husband Gary of Sandown, NH, Steven Gamache and his wife Deloria of Nashua, NH and Lynn Dumont of Nashua, NH; his grandchildren Amy , Molly, Philip, Ryan and Ava; his great grandchildren Jacob and Joshua; as well as a very special family member and friends Walter Charpentier, all who loved him very much.

He was predeceased by his son Bruce Gamache, his brother Roger Gamache, and his sister Theresa Boyer.

Family and friends are invited to Arthur’s visitation on MONDAY, October 20th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION Services, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His funeral mass will take place on TUESDAY, October 21st at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment and presentation of military honors will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
