Robert Aime Lessard Sr.
Robert Aime Lessard Sr., 74, of Titusville, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. A man of quiet strength and unwavering dedication, Robert spent his life working hard–whether it was on construction sites, behind the wheel, or in service to his community.
For the past 23 years, Robert devoted himself to honoring and supporting veterans through his tireless volunteer work with the American Legion Post 1 and the North Brevard Honor Guard, where he proudly served as Commander. He was a longtime member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 1, where he served as Commander and also served as Eastern Area SAL Commander. His passion for service extended to his lifetime memberships with both the American Legion Riders and the USA River Rats–organizations that reflected his deep commitment to patriotism, fellowship, and community.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Aime Lessard, his mother Jeanne Lessard (Fournier), and his sisters Dolly Megans and Claire Carty. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Lessard (Devan); his children Tracy Dettmer, Kristie Wisbey, Jessica DiMauro, and Robert Lessard Jr.; his sister Terry Gravel; ten cherished grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.
He will be remembered not only for his work ethic and generosity, but for the love he gave freely to his family and the pride he took in their accomplishments. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the values he instilled, and the memories that will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
Funeral Services
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Aloysius of Gonzaga Parish, located at 48 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH 03060. Burial will immediately follow at St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery, located at 752 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH 03062, where Robert will be laid to rest with honor and love. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man whose devotion to service and family left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
