Robert Dunbar

The family of Robert D. Dunbar was saddened at his passing two days before his 81st birthday. He was born on Christmas Day 1941 in Nashua, NH to Duward Dunbar and Anna (Ziarko) Dunbar.

Bob attended St. Christoper’s School in Nashua, NH and graduated from Nashua Senior High School class of 1962, where he was a member of the track and golf teams.

He graduated from Northeastern University and served in the U.S. Military, stationed in Pakistan. His work career started in Nashua at Sanders Associates, but he spent most of his career at Texas Instruments in Plano, TX. Bob retired to Tucson, AZ to enjoy golf and took up painting.

He developed a love for golf at a young age and was a caddy and caddy master at the Nashua Country Club. He won several golf tournaments throughout his life and considered turning professional. His family was always amazed that he did crossword puzzles with a ball point pen.

He will be missed by those who loved him. He was kind and generous to both family and friends. He leaves behind a son Kevin and a daughter Tracy, and long-term companion Jeanne Vogel. He also leaves behind two sisters Mrs. Joan (Dunbar) and her husband Frank Belanger, and Mary (Dunbar) Dulski, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service were held Thursday, August 28th at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Nashua, NH.

Donations may be made in his memory to St. Christoper’s School in Nashua.
