Michel “Mike C” Corbeil

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michel “Mike C” Corbeil, who left us far too soon. A beloved son, brother, friend, uncle, and proud Marine, Mike passed away leaving behind a legacy as deep and steady as the waters he loved to fish.
Born with salt in his veins and a fire in his spirit, he was an avid fisherman whose happiest days were spent on the water, rod in hand, sunrise on the horizon. He found peace in the quiet lapping waves and joy in the challenge of the catch. Fishing wasn’t just a pastime for Mike — it was his way of life, a reflection of his patience, resilience, and respect for nature.
As a United States Marine, Mike served his country with honor and fierce loyalty. His dedication and discipline were matched only by his compassion and sense of duty to those around him. He carried the values of the Marine Corps – honor, courage, and commitment – into every aspect of his life.
He was also a brilliant and accomplished Engineer for GE Healthcare.
To his family, Mike was a son who never stopped making them proud, and a brother whose laughter, loyalty, and protective spirit will be forever missed. To his friends, he was the kind of man who showed up whether it was 3 a.m. on a rainy day or for a fishing trip planned far in advance. To all who knew him, he was Mike C — steady, true, and unforgettable.
Though he’s cast his final line, Mike’s spirit will always be with us — in the ripple of a quiet lake, in the snap of a flag in the wind, and in the stories we tell about the man who lived deeply, loved fiercely, and never backed down from a challenge.
Mike is survived by stepfather Gary Atwood, stepmother Lisa Ellsworth, his siblings Heidi Atwood, Renee Kelly, Yvan Corbeil, Cindell Corbeil, Landon Corbeil, nieces and nephews, countless aunts, uncles and cousins, a wide circle of friends and his brothers and sisters in arms. He is predeceased by his father Yvan Corbeil, mother Pierrette Atwood and brother Carson Corbeil.
