Born on September 1, 1947, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Ed was the son of the late Patrick and Margaret (Kelly) Izzo. He was a proud graduate of Matignon High School in Cambridge and went on to earn a degree in finance from Boston College.

Professionally, Ed had a long and accomplished career in finance, most notably serving as Chief Financial Officer at the Whitman & Howard Group as well as various Management roles within Tyco International which afforded he and Mary the opportunity to live abroad in England for a few years. After retirement, Ed dedicated many years volunteering for SCORE, where he mentored countless business professionals and entrepreneurs.

A devoted member of both Immaculate Conception Church in Nashua and St. Francis of Assisi Church in Litchfield, Ed volunteered his time on several parish finance committees. His deep commitment to his faith was evident in both his work and personal life.

Beyond his professional and community contributions, Ed had many passions. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, an enthusiastic reader of history, and a dedicated youth baseball coach for many years in the Nashua South Little League, mentoring countless young athletes.
