Patrick A. Auriemma Jr.

Aug 14, 2025

Patrick A. Auriemma Jr., 70, also known as “Pat” or lovingly referred to as “Opa” or “Ops,” passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, surrounded by his wife and daughters after a courageous cancer journey. He was born on September 18, 1954, in Rye, NY, the son of Patrick Auriemma and Marianne (Reith) Stewart, and stepson to Horace Stewart, all who predeceased him. He was also a very proud doggy daddy to Happy, who previously crossed the rainbow bridge.

He was married to his loving wife, Maureen (Hennessey) Auriemma, for 22 years after they fell in love on a never-ending first date. Patrick was a cherished stepdad to Jessica Hennessey-Beatini and her husband William Beatini Jr, and Mandy Kiernan and her husband Brian Kiernan. He was a beloved Opa to his adored grandson Jacob. He was also a treasured uncle, cousin, and friend.

Patrick attended Derryfield High School in Manchester, NH, before completing his diploma at Rosehill International School in St. Gallen, Switzerland. He also fondly recounted stories of travelling abroad during his time at the American College of Switzerland. Patrick then returned to New Hampshire, and after working diligently, was proud to receive his degree in Auto Mechanics from Nashua Vocational Technical School.

Pat was a traveler, tinker, sci-fi lover, and collector of memories; he loved photography and capturing the world and his experiences on film to share them with others. He also loved to talk shop about cars and would always remind you to get your tires rotated whenever you get an oil change because “that will make them last longer.” He was fascinated by and could dominate any and all electronics or machinery. His witty humor led his family to coin the phrase “Opa-isms” which are quirky words of wisdom that will surely be quoted and passed down.

SERVICES: Visitation will be 5-7pm on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua, NH. A funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on August 16, 2025, also at Davis Funeral Home. Internment will follow with family and friends welcome to attend at North Cemetery in Hollis, NH. A private Celebration of Life luncheon will follow for family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839 Boone, IA 50037-0839, a foundation very dear to Patrick, as he contributed 366 units of blood throughout his life. In addition, donations can be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168, where he was proud to participate in multiple clinical trials in order to further science for others.
