Camile Armand Riendeau

Aug 13, 2025

Camile Armand Riendeau, 85, passed away peacefully at home on August 7th 2025 with his beloved wife Simone and his son Patrick by his side.

Camile was born on October 16th 1939 in Sherbrooke, Canada to Armand and Jeanette (Champagne) Riendeau. His mother, father and older sister, Pauline, moved from Canada to Canaan, Vermont when he was four. He was lovingly raised by his “mama’ and “papa’ and sister Pauline. In the years that followed, his twin brothers were born; Jean-Marc and Jean-Louis. A little later came baby sister Lise and the Riendeau family was complete.

Camile attended school in Canaan, and at a young age began learning the importance of a good work ethic. He worked at several different jobs in his late teenage years and was always eager to wake up early to put in a hard days work.

In the fall of 1959, Camille met the love of his life, Simone Audet. They were married on August 3rd 1963 and six days later moved to Nashua, NH where they would spend the rest of their lives together.

After moving, Camile learned the carpentry and drywall trade which became his career work. He loved to build things with his hands and spent many hours doing volunteer work around the community.

Their first child, Carole, was born on May 25th, 1964. Eight years later, son Patrick was born on December 28th 1972.

He was a dedicated husband, father and grand father, always present to lend a helping hand in times of need. He loved his family and friends and was a devoted husband to Simone for 62 years. He worked hard to provide for his family and helped raise his children, passing along his committed work ethic. He also took great pride in keeping his home and his truck in pristine condition.

Camile worked as a carpenter for the North Atlantic States Carpenters Union for over 30 years and worked his way up to the title of Steward Union Carpenter. After retiring from the Union he worked for the Nashua Children’s Home as a maintenance man. He was very proud of his position at that facility that helped abandoned children. He also performed minor home renovations and various small carpentry projects for local homeowners.

Camile had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He was a familiar, early morning patron at different coffee shops in the Nashua area and no matter where he went, he always seemed to know someone. He was a humorous character with his beloved cowboy hat.

Camile was a man of Faith. He loved the Lord and tried to live a righteous life. He and Simone worshiped at The Sanctuary United Pentecostal Church in Hudson.

He is survived by his wife, Simone, his son, Patrick, two granddaughters, Hannah and Julia, his brother Jean-Louis and numerous nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his sisters Pauline and Lise, brother Jean-Marc, and daughter Carole.

A memorial service will be held August 23rd at 10:00 AM at the The Sanctuary United Pentecostal Church, 123 Derry Rd in Hudson NH.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Nashua Children’s Home; 125 Amherst St / Nashua, NH 03064.
