Diane Zanfagna Blake

Diane Zanfagna Blake of Londonderry, New Hampshire, died peacefully with her loving family by her side on August 1st, 2025. The daughter of Anthony P. And Constance M. Zanfangna, Diane was born on November 7th, 1942, in Lawrence, MA.
She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and received her BS degree in Psychology at the University of Rhode Island. She received her graduate degree from Marshall University in Huntington, WVA. Diane enjoyed a long and varied career in the field of mental health and was a help to the countless people she worked with. She was the executive director of The Samaritans of Merrimack Valley, executive director of the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Program of Greater Nashua and retired as the bereavement coordinator and grief counselor for Merrimack Valley Hospice in Lawrence. Diane also taught at Springfield College in Manchester, NH and founded and facilitated a group for survivors of the 9/11 attacks.
Diane was predeceased by her father Vincent James Zanfagna, her parents, her brother, Jim Zanfagna of Newburyport, and her loving husband of 44 years, Richard A. Blake. Diane will be deeply missed by her sister, Ann Marie Zanfagna, her loving spouse, Jeanne Aussant, Joshua Ellison and his family, her niece Mara Zanfagna, nephew Benjamin Zanfagna, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and many loving friends. Peabody Funeral Home in Derry, NH is handling the funeral arrangements. A celebration of life to honor Diane will be held in the Spring of 2026.
