Dorothy Delores Collen

Dorothy Delores Collen, “Dotty” was a beloved great/grandmother, mother, wife and sister during her 99 years of life. She peacefully passed away at home in Delray Beach on 7/24/25

Dorothy was born on July 12, 1926 to Maria Viscardi and Pablo Sosa in New York,NY. The second oldest of five children, Dorothy loved her siblings Paul, Barbara, Marilyn and Richard.

While in New York, she met her love and husband Irv Collen. They raised two children, Duane Collen (Ross) and Robin Collen-Zellers. Dorothy was a fabulous cook, great homemaker, and loved playing cards with her friends. Above all, she adored spending time with family, especially her grand and great grand children, Joshua Zellers, Michael Schaeffer, Sean Schaeffer, Ryan Schaeffer, Madelyn Zellers and Brady Zellers. She also enjoyed spending time with her son-in-law, Ron Zellers and her two granddaughter-in-laws, Elizabeth Zellers and Jane Marie Schaeffer.

Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her, but we are grateful for the long time we had to spend with her. We will always feel her presence in our hearts.

Service will be at Boscawen Veterans Cemetery on 8/11 @ 2:00 pm
