Judith Lynn (Dulz) Hickey

Judith Lynn (Dulz) Hickey passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on July 17, 2025 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Center in Worcester. Judy was born on November 30, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan to Frederick and Valerie (Marchewicz) Dulz.

Judy received her nursing degree from the Providence Hospital School of Nursing in Michigan and began her career at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn before moving to Boston. Over her career, she worked for Massachusetts General Hospital, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and The Fernald Center. She particularly found fulfillment working with those with special needs. A lover of learning, Judy received her BS in Business from Boston University and her Master’s in Nursing Practice from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health.

Judy married Robert J. Hickey in 1970, and they lived in Natick before moving to New Hampshire. After retiring, Judy lived in Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Florida. An avid fan of Shakespeare, Judy also enjoyed her pets, traveling, being by the ocean, and especially spending time with her son, Michael.

Judy was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 2002, and her dear son, Michael D. Hickey, in 2022. She leaves behind several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Judy lived a life marked by intelligence, generosity, and a deep commitment to her faith, and she will be missed.

A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 187 Hopedale St., Hopedale, MA. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin, MA.
