Andrew Thomas Brunelle

Andrew Thomas Brunelle, 91 of Falls Church, VA, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025. Andy was born and raised in Nashua, NH, where he spent most of his life. After graduating high school, he followed his dreams of traveling the world and serving our country by enlisting in the US Army where he was trained as a machinist. He served in Europe during the Korean War, and after 4 years of service, Andy returned home to Nashua to marry his sweetheart, Cecile and begin a family. They raised 1 son and 3 daughters. Andy found his career at Sanders Associates, a Nashua-based defense contractor, where he worked for many years till his retirement.
Andy was mechanically inclined and gifted with the ability to design and create just about anything; he and Cecile even built their last home in Nashua. Andy’s greatest loves were travel and creating unique pieces from his workshop of woodworking tools, where he crafted intricate and beautiful replicas of autos, trucks, fire trucks, motor carriers, and the like, eventually amassing an elaborate collection he proudly displayed. Other hobbies included bowling, walking, and spending time with his grandkids and watching them grow up.
Upon retirement, Andy and Cecile pursued their passion by traveling via RV across the 50 United States and Canada. They especially loved exploring Alaska, including remote areas accessible only by plane; and visiting the many beautiful national and state parks. They spent many winters at a second home in Ocala, Florida. During their journeys they made lifelong friends whom they visited and remained in contact with, including until his passing. Andy continued his passion for woodworking and continued to create countless, one of a kind projects and his workmanship left many in awe, amazed by his talent.
Andy will be missed, but will continue to live in our hearts and memories.
Andy was preceded in life by his sister Judy, his brothers Robert and David, and several aunts and uncles. He leaves behind Cecile, his beloved wife of 68 years, his son, daughters, their spouses, and many nieces, nephews, grandkids and great grandkids.
A burial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:00 am at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery in Amherst, NH.
