Evelyn “Evie” Boissonneault

Evelyn “Evie” Boissonneault, 91, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Langdon Place of Nashua.
Born on January 27, 1934, in Newton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Annette Dionne. Evelyn grew up in Nashua and received her education through the Nashua School District. She went on to work in accounting at Ingersoll Rand, where she was known for her diligence and dedication.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Hector Boissonneault, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. Together, they built a life centered around family, community, and quiet kindness.
A talented knitter, Evelyn found great joy in creating handmade hats, mittens, and other items for her family and for local children in need. She donated many of her creations to children’s homes and took pride in teaching others the art of knitting, offering lessons and encouragement at Hollis Crossing and the Nashua Senior Center. Evelyn also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life–candlepin bowling with friends in a local business league at Leda Lanes and the former Gate City Bowl, playing bingo, indulging in trips to the casino and the occasional scratch ticket. She will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, and her unwavering love for family and community.
Eveyln is survived by her two children Robert and his wife Martha of Amherst, and Richard and his wife Chantal of Hudson; her two siblings Doris Archambault and her husband Paul of Nashua, and Jeanne Dionne and her husband Conrad of Nashua; her brother in law Paul and his wife Rena of Hudson; as well as several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her brothers Walter Dionne and Leo Dionne Jr. and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Vivian Guerette and Conrad Guerette.
Evelyn’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Langdon Place and Brookhaven Hospice for their care, comfort, and compassion shown to Evelyn and her family during her time with them.
