Mary Margaret “Peg” (Cyr) Jordan

Jun 26, 2025

On what would have been her 63rd wedding anniversary, Mary Margaret “Peg” (Cyr) Jordan, 87, of Nashua,

NH, was reunited with her husband Daniel when she passed away on June 23, 2025.

Mary was born on June 6, 1938, in Boston, MA to Marion Hannan and Ernest Cyr. After her parents died at a

young age she was lovingly raised by her Uncle and Aunt. William “Bill” and Marguerite “Marge” Hannan.

Mary was a lifelong learner with a thirst for knowledge. Her devotion towards the Catholic church began at a

young age while attending Rosary Academy and graduating from Holy Cross Academy. She received her

Bachelors of Education from Boston College 1960, a Masters of Education from Northeastern University, and a

Masters of Pastoral Studies from Emmanuel College.

Mary enjoyed traveling around the world and sharing stories about the many countries she visited over a warm

cup of tea. She adored the time that she spent in Canada, which she considered her second home. Her children

fondly remember taking trips with her to Boston, where they always found themselves on a new adventure

never knowing where they would end up. Mary and her husband Dan loved dancing and singing together,

especially their rendition of Happy Birthday. Mary could always be found with her nose in a book, with her

favorites being the bible, mysteries and anything to do with history.

Mary was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel. Mary is

survived by her three children and spouses: Deidre (Jordan) Reynolds and Mack Reynolds, Daniel W. Jordan III

and JoAnn (Derrico) Jordan, and Diane (Jordan) Beijer and Alexander Beijer. Her four grandchildren: Renee

Beijer, Meaghan Reynolds, Gabrielle Beijer, and Morgan Reynolds. Her nephew James Bradford and niece
