Rose Marie Lyon

Rose Marie (Fournier) Lyon, 88, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, Dover, NH. She was born in Norwich, CT on January 3, 1935. She was the daughter and 12th child of the late Pierre and Edna (Bergeron) Fournier. She married Dana S. Lyon (predeceased 1991) of Tyngsboro, MA on June 17, 1956, in a double wedding alongside her sister Lorraine and her husband Karl Martin. Years later she married her second husband Donald L. Botti (predeceased 2010) of Dracut, MA. She was a loving, generous mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She graduated in 1953 from Lowell High School where she was a Girl Officer. Her first employment was sewing in the textile mills in Lowell MA and later worked in quality control at the electronics company Teradyne, Nashua, NH. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking/baking, shopping, sewing, tending the yard, dancing, and time up at the lake camp boating.

Rose Marie is survived by her daughters Suzanne Lyon of Wakefield, NH, and Christine (Lyon) and husband John Powers of Kensington, NH. She has 5 grandchildren Stephanie Lessard, Sarai Lyon, Amanda Lyon and Jack Powers and 2 great grandchildren, Mikayla Gilliam and Burley J. Gilliam. She has one remaining sister, Lorraine (Fournier) Martin from Monson, ME with whom she shared a loving and close bond. Also, many nieces and nephews… In addition to her parents Pierre and Edna, her husbands Dana and Donald, she was predeceased by daughters Donna Lessard and Laurie J. Lyon, granddaughter Kristie Lyon, son-in-law Edward Lessard, as well as 8 brothers and 3 sisters.

Rose requested a small, private burial ceremony and will be buried with her first husband Dana S. Lyon at the Gibson Cemetery in Pelham, NH.
