Frederic “Ted” Rankins III
Frederic “Ted” Rankins III, 77, of Nashua, NH, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, in Nashua. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 9, 1947, the son of the late Frederic D. Rankins II and Ruby Rankins.
Ted was the beloved husband of Louise (Ledoux) Rankins. They were married on June 14, 1969, at St. Christopher’s Parish in Nashua and were just days away from celebrating 56 years of marriage.
Ted grew up in Michigan and, after graduating high school, went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he settled in Nashua, where he built a life and family.
Ted ran his own business, “My Father’s Catering,” where he drove the truck and personally made deliveries throughout the Nashua area for many years. He took pride in his work and in serving his community.
Outside of work, Ted found joy in deep sea fishing–especially for tuna–and treasured time on the water. He was a devoted father who was actively involved in his sons’ lives. Whether cheering from the sidelines at baseball and basketball games or helping run the concession stand, Ted was always present and supportive.
In addition to his parents, Ted was predeceased by his brother, Philip Rankins.
He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Rankins, and their two sons: Frederic “Rick” Rankins IV and his wife Jamie, and David Rankins. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Taylor Kelley, Kaitlyn Rankins, Molly Rankins, and Ryley Rankins; and by his brothers, Bruce Rankins and Michael Rankins. He will be missed by extended family and dear friends.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
