Salvatore Paul Magnano
Salvatore Paul Magnano died June 3, 2025, at the Huntington of Nashua were he and his wife reside. He was born on January 10,1934 in Portland, CT. He was the son of Salvatore Magnano and Lucy DiModica Magnano. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Lois Johnson Magnano, they were married on July 16,1955 in Portland, CT.
Sal received his BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY. After 2 years of service in the Navy, Sal went on to receive his MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. Sal had served in many roles at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua over the last 40 + years, which was his greatest passion. His roles included: volunteer, board of directors member, former President, man of the year award winner, heritage club founding member and charitable foundation trustee.
Sal was a very dedicated community servant and donated to many organizations throughout the years. He was also a trustee of Daniel Webster College in Nashua and a trustee of the Hollis Congregational Church and resident trustee of Huntington. In 1962 he joined Sanders Associates, from 1982-1996 he served as Chief Financial Officer for Lockheed-Sanders. Sal enjoyed boating, fishing, reading, and being involved in everything around him.
Sal is predeceased by his brothers Paul and Joseph and his sister Phyllis and grandson Vincent.
SERVICES: A graveside service will held at East Cemetery on Wheeler Road in Hollis NH, Saturday June 7 at 1 pm. A memorial service will be held at the Huntington of Nashua, in the Carlyle room, Saturday June 14 at 1pm, all are invited to attend.
