Jacquelyn Marie Grainger “Kie Kie”

Jacquelyn Marie Grainger “Kie Kie”,79, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents Willis and Josephine Grainger and a sister Marie Grainger. Throughout her life, Jacquelyn found joy in helping others; this was evident in her long career in education.

Jacquelyn earned her teaching degree from Rivier College and began her career in Islesboro, Maine. She later spent 30 years teaching in Londonderry, New Hampshire, where she shared her love of reading with countless students. She earned her master’s degree in the Library of Science further fueling her passion for education and literacy.

After retirement, Jacquelyn moved to Naples, Florida, where she lived for several years. After the passing of Michelle Keady, Jacquelyn relocated to Daytona, Florida, to be closer to Arlene Desmarais. In Daytona, she continued to share her love of reading by volunteering at the public library. She also contributed her time at the hospital, assisting patients and helping them navigate the facility. Helping others brought her great fulfillment.

As her health declined, she moved closer to Jacksonville, Florida, to be closer to her niece, Audrey Hoover. She is survived by her brother, Edward Grainger and his wife, Claire Grainger, as well as her nephew Todd Grainger. Jacquelyn’s kindness, generosity and love of learning will forever live in our hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service on TUESDAY, June 17th at 11 AM in the Old St. Louis Cemetery, W Hollis Street, near the Nashua Police Station. Her interment will follow.
