Susan Michelle Cox

06/07/1960 – 05/21/2025
Nashua, NH- Susan Michelle Cox, life partner of Bob Menize, mother of Christopher Cox, Jeremy Cox, Jesse Menize, and the late Ryan Menize, daughter of Annette and James “Jim” Knust, left us on the morning of May 21, 2025.
Her absence deepens our sorrow, yet her memory lingers like a blessing, enriching all who knew her. She will be remembered for her boisterous laughter, memorable hugs, love for dragonflies, searching for moose in the North Country, crocheting, dancing, dressing up in elaborate Halloween costumes, sending handwritten cards for every life accomplishment, everything purple, a kind heart, and a loving soul.
She felt most at home in her circle of family-parents, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and endless friends. Most of all, she was devoted to her sons, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren- Sophie, Eleanor, Siena, and Francesco.
Susan consistently showed commitment and diligence to her schooling at UMASS Lowell, where she proudly earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Her professional journey continued at the New Hampshire District Courts, where she made a lasting impact over twenty-seven years of service, ending in retirement on March 31st, 2025.
The family is profoundly grateful to the angels at Saint Joe’s Cancer Center and the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, whose kindness and care brought her comfort.
Please join the family for a wake in honor of Susan, to be held at Rochette Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua, on Friday, May 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Mass in celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, located at 48 West Hollis Street, Nashua.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Susan’s memory may do so by donating to the Cancer Center at Saint Joseph’s in Nashua, whose care meant so much to her.
