May 9, 2025

Marcelle D’Amboise, 85, of Nashua passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on May 5, 2025, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.

Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec on October 8, 1939, to Félix and Thérèse (Clowery) Houle, Marcelle lived a fulfilling life rooted in family, faith, and a passion for music. In August 1966, she married the love of her life, Pascal D’Amboise, in St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Following their wedding, they moved to Nashua to begin their lives together, embarking on an adventure in a new land, committed to their goal of raising a family.

For a time in the 1960s, Marcelle was a nightclub singer, sharing her melodious voice and love of music with audiences who appreciated her warmth and talent. Music remained an important part of her life throughout the years, often filling her home with song. She was also an avid bowler for many years, with trophies attesting to her skill and enthusiasm.

More than anything, she cherished her role as a mother and wife. Her family was the heart of her world, and she devoted herself to creating a loving and nurturing home.

Marcelle enjoyed beaches, boating, taking road trips and exploring new places. She also delighted in socializing with and cooking for her loved ones, using food as another way to express her love and bring people together.

She will be remembered for her strength, grace, and a fierce commitment to the importance of family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband Pascal, Marcelle is survived by her two sons, Paul and Patrick, Paul’s wife Nathalie Bourgouin, their two children Samantha and Philippe, her sister-in-law Pauline (Audet) Houle, her brother-in-law Guy Couture, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marcelle was the last of a large family and was especially close to her predeceased siblings Lorraine (Houle) Couture, Fernand Houle, and Gerald Houle, along with their respective children.

Family and friends are invited to Marcelle’s visitation on FRIDAY, May 16th from 5 until 8 pm at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home on SATURDAY, Mary 17th at 11 AM with a visitation hour prior from 10 until 11 AM. Interment will take place at the convenience of her family.
