Louis A. Ovens Jr.

Louis A. Ovens Jr., 75, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died at the Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, on March 8, 2025.

He was born on January 20, 1950, in Nashua, NH, a son of the late Louis A. and Eunice (Tyler) Ovens Sr.

Louis was raised and educated in Hollis, NH. He married Marjorie L. Ovens and together have made their home in Milford for many years.

He worked for over 50 years at Hitchiners in Milford. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed any type of fishing, hunting, cooking, riding his motorcycle, baking and most importantly being with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Cynthia.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Ovens of Milford, NH, his children, Darcey and her husband Daniel Parr of Wilton, NH, Justin and his wife Nicole Ovens of Henniker, NH, Tracy and her husband Mark Murdough of Hillsboro, NH and Tony Ovens of Barnstead, NH. Four grandchildren, Willow Ovens, Josephine Ovens, Riley Ovens and Corey Scruton, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews, his sisters, Nancy Cheney, Edith Cutler, Gloria LaRose, brothers, Arthur and his wife Loretta Ovens, Gerald Ovens and many close friends.

SERVICES: A graveside service will be held on May 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the North Cemetery, Silver Lake Road, Hollis. All are invited to meet directly at the cemetery. Following the burial, a Celebration of life will be held at the Brookline Event Center, 32 Proctor Road, Hollis, NH.
