Noella L. (Arguin) Paquette

HUDSON, NH – Noella L. (Arguin) Paquette, age 91, a longtime resident of Hudson, NH, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond W. Paquette who passed away in 2021.
Born in Lowell on December 25, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Adelia (Croteau) Arguin. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls.
Noella was a talented knitter having made many sweater sets and blankets for newborns, toddler sweaters, mittens and hats and donated many of those items to local charities. She also enjoyed making puzzles and watching PBS cooking shows and she loved to make everyone’s favorites. She made the best Boston Baked Beans, meatloaf, fudge, caramels, and French-Canadian Gorton. An active member of the Hudson Senior Center, Noella enjoyed attending strength and balance classes weekly and the many friends she made there.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Town of Dracut for many years having worked in the Assessor’s Office and Finance Department.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Christine Paquette of Dracut; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda Bellis and her husband Steven of Conover, NC and Maureen Anson and her husband James of Litchfield, NH, and former daughter-in-law Catherine Paquette of Litchfield, NH; seven grandchildren, Lauren Bell and her husband Daniel, Meagan Kadel and her husband Joshua, Rebecca Mattison and her husband Adam, Christopher Bellis and his wife Christy, Matthew Paquette and his wife Ashlyn, Amy Paquette and Zachary Anson; eight great grandchildren, Sean, Heath and Cole Kadel, Jasmine, Jordan and Jayla Bell, Wesley Mattison and Willow Paquette; and many nieces and nephews including her dear niece Susan Cloutier and her husband Norman.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Community Hospice House for the amazing care, comfort, and peace they provided their mom and their family during her journey back to their dad.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius of Gonzaga Parish, 48 West Hollis St., Nashua. Burial will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Community Hospice House at www.hhhc.org.
