Edward Emile Pinelle Sr.

Apr 1, 2025

Edward Emile Pinelle Sr., 94, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on March 27, 2025, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Edward was married to his beloved wife, Jennie (Indeglia) Pinelle for 61 years, until her passing in 2014. Edward will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather as well as a wonderful brother, uncle and friend.

Edward was born in Johnston, RI on October 17, 1930, son to the late Emile and Lucie (Labrie) Pinelle. He was raised and educated in Providence, RI. Edward was a proud Marine Veteran, honorably serving during the Korean War (1950-1951). He and Jennie settled in Nashua, NH, in 1963, to raise a family.

Anyone who met Edward, immediately felt his warm, kind presence and grew to know that he was a man of great character. He was also a man of deep faith in the Lord. Edward was an active parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Parish for many years. He had many passions in life, including solving Sudoku, putting puzzles together, exploring genealogy, tending to his garden, and golf. He was a soccer coach for his children’s teams while they were growing up. He was an active member of several organizations, including the National Association of Federal Retirees (NARFE) and the Knights of Columbus, where he once held the position of Grand Knight. Edward enjoyed serving his community through ministry work at St. Vincent de Paul and organizing many summer picnics for the Plus Company.

Edward worked as a supervisor for the Federal Aviation Administration in Nashua, NH for over 30 years. In his retirement, Edward worked at the now closed rest area in Nashua, where he would often bring his physics books to keep his mind active. Many people who stopped in at the rest area would often visit again to help Edward solve the physics problems he was working on. Edward leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and service. His kind spirit will be missed by all.

He is survived by his children: Donna Shea and Arthur Clemons of Live Oak, FL; Edward Pinelle and wife Sandra of Nashua; Brian Pinelle and wife Jody of Land O’ Lakes, FL and Joanna Vallie and husband Ted of Nashua. Ed is also survived by his brothers, Joseph Pinelle; Paul Pinelle and wife Diane; sister-in-law Lynda Pinelle; grandchildren, Tara, Tanya, Cameron, Brandon, Nicholas, Michaela, Nathan, Jacob; great-grandchildren, Kiara, Kylah, Kenzi, Elaina, Odin, Sofia, and Adalyn; and a new great-grandchild, Colin, due in May.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Edward is predeceased by his sisters; Doris Baron and Lillian Tucker, brothers; Richard Pinelle and Gilbert Pinelle; granddaughter, Hannah Vallie and daughter-in-law, Christina Pinelle.
