Jeannine (Bechard) Fallon
October 18, 1943 – September 18, 2024
Jeannine passed away after a very long battle with diabetes. She was born in Nashua, the daughter of Henry and Jeannette Bechard and spent many years enjoying the city. Summers were spent at Cobbett’s Pond and Hampton Beach as well as skiing in the mountains of New Hampshire. Jeannine attended Presentation of Mary Academy and also graduated from Mount St. Mary’s of Nashua and then a graduate of Rivier University in Nashua with a degree in education. She was employed by Sanders Associates for a number of years where she met her husband and had two sons, Jeffery Ratof and Jason Ratof. She later moved to West Boylston, Massachusetts where she was employed as a claims manager for The Peerless Insurance Company. After her sons were grown and on their own, Jeannine and her husband purchased an RV and traveled the country for four years. They fell in love with Maine, purchased a sailboat and spent as much of their time sailing in Casco Bay. They decided to make Maine permanent and purchased property in Wells where she spent her time loving the sea and boating, walking, and biking the beaches and enjoying the wonderful and unique foods if Maine. She and her husband also spent many years as volunteers at The Ogunquit Playhouse in Wells enjoying the plays and making new friends. After her husband passed, she spent time in Florida and decided to settle in Portland, Maine where she lived with her son Jason until her passing. Jeannine is survived by her two sons Jeffery Ratof of Massachusetts and Jason Ratof of Maine, as well as brother Henry Bechard of Hampton and Sarasota, and her sister Suzanne Bechard Woodward of Spofford, NH and Charlotte, NC. Jeannine will be missed by her family and friends.
