Shirley Ann (Ogilvie) Kraft
Shirley Ann (Ogilvie) Kraft, 89, died on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at her home in Nashua, NH. She was born, October 8, 1934, in Nashua. She was the daughter of the late Clayton B. Ogilvie and Mildred M. (Rich) Ogilvie.
Shirley grew up in Nashua and graduated from Nashua High School in 1952.
She married Robert L. Kraft on August 14, 1954. Their 28-year marriage was filled with adventures throughout the United States and Europe. Upon returning to Nashua, Shirley worked in local fabric stores and retired from Cherry, Webb & Touraine, a women’s clothing store.
She was very creative and artistic. She loved sewing, quilting, painting, knitting and crocheting. Her favorite projects to work on were Christmas decorations and ornaments, especially Santas and snowmen.
She loved being with family and friends. She was very supportive of them and was always there to help anyone who was in need. One of the highlights of her life was becoming a “Gumba” to her grandson, Jason and a “Great Gumba” to her great-granddaughter, Andi. Both filled her heart with happiness and love.
Shirley was pre-deceased by her parents, Clayton and Mildred Ogilvie; her sisters, Jackie Atwater and Joan Klays; and her husband, Robert L. Kraft.
She is survived by her daughter, Roberta “Robin” Hanks; her grandson, Jason Hanks, his wife Melissa Hanks and great-granddaughter Andi Hanks.
