Katherine Louise Torla
Katherine Louise Torla, 82, was peacefully carried home by the angels on October 1, 2024, from the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. She was the cherished wife of the late Michael A. Torla, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage before his passing in 2021.
Kathy will be forever loved and remembered by her three children and their families: Karen Theriault and her husband Dan of Nashua, NH; Chris Torla and his wife Denise of West Hartford, CT; and Steve Torla and his wife Sherri of Louisville, KY. She will also be fondly remembered by her eight grandchildren: Eric and Sara Theriault; Meghan, Lauren, and Kathryn Torla; Sean Torla and his wife Camry; Zack Torla; and Dane Cline. In addition, she will be missed by other special family including Logan Rogers, Daniel Hope, Jenn Cantara, Gemma, and Ms. Charlie. She is also survived by her brother and sister in law Bernie and Joan Torla of East Hampstead, NH as well as many nieces and nephews.
Kathy was born on September 24, 1942, in Lawrence, MA, to Louise (Bochman) and Harold W. Taylor. After her marriage, she lived in Salem, NH; Stow, MA; Hudson and Nashua, NH.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Kathy was passionate about her family. She stayed home to care for her children until her youngest, Steve, entered middle school. After that, she worked in part-time administrative positions, ensuring she was always home when her children finished school. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she cherished attending their games, plays, and witnessing their growth. Kathy also loved making pierogi, celebrating holidays filled with laughter and banter, traveling, visiting the beach, watching game shows, crocheting, listening to Elton John, visiting casinos, and enjoying ice cream.
Kathy was a beacon of positivity and strength and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Community Hospice House for the loving care they provided.
SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2 to 5 pm at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St, Nashua, NH, 03064. A Funeral Mass will be held the next day, Monday, October 7, at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E Dunstable Rd, Nashua, NH 03062, at 11 am. A procession will lead from the service to the burial at St Louis Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis St, Nashua, NH, 03062. Friends and family are invited to attend.
