Donald G. Dupuis

Donald G. Dupuis, 77, died peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire R. (Lamontagne) Dupuis with whom he shared 56 years of marriage prior to her passing on April 24, 2023.

Donald was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on January 22, 1947 and was the son of the late Emile and Eugenie (Gingras) Dupuis. He received his education in the Berlin school system and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Berlin, New Hampshire with the class of 1965.

He began his career as a manufacturing engineer for Ingersoll Rand, he then became a co-owner and operator of Nimco, and finally spent over 25 years at Helfrich Brothers, which was the highlight of his long career.

In his free time, Donald and Claire would travel frequently to various destinations globally including numerous cruises, France, Thailand, Japan; as well as Donald’s favorite, Abu Dhabi. He was an avid fisherman, never turning down an opportunity to spend time out on the water where he found solitude and always had fun. Above all his most cherished time was spent with his family who he loved deeply, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

Donald is survived by his three children, Donna Michaud and her husband Roger, Kevin Dupuis and his wife Christine, and Diane Cafarelli; his son-in-law, Craig Cafarelli; his eight grandchildren, Matthew Dupuis, Emily Cafarelli, Rebecca Michaud, Peter Dupuis, Jason Michaud, Jenna Michaud, Jack Cafarelli, and Charlie Dupuis. He is also survived by his two brothers, Gaston Dupuis and his wife Elaine and Paul Dupuis and his wife Claudette; his sister, Louise Michaud and her husband Leo; his sister-in-law, Louise Dupuis of VA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Claire and his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Roland Dupuis.

Relatives and friends are invited to Donald’s visitation on TUESDAY, September 24th from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on WEDNESDAY, September 25th at 10 AM in St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, NH. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. His entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua.
